- in my spare time off from university over the summer, i decided to use some of my creativeness and randomly make use of some of the materials i had lying around. I'm not quite sure what i've made, maybe i can turn these lace and button 'floral' themed accessories into brooches or hair accessories ?? I'll keep you posted as to what i make them into. But as for now i think they are pretty cute and adorable just as they are !!!

-Macramé Fun...
... these are just a couple of my design development & sample boards for my Accessory Module. My concept was developed from looking at Equestrian equipment and what caught my eye was the 'cluttered & clustered' element of saddles, belts, buckles etc etc etc ... this element in particular dominated my further design work and gave me a basis to develop the shape for my final harness accessory !!!

Looking at Macramé
- I've been looking at the technique of Macramé for my Accessory Design Module, and came to the conclusion that my harness will be macramé based. Instead of using leather and chain, which is commonly used and typically stereotyped with harnesses, i thought i would construct my harness using different types of rope and leather/suede thonging to push the boundaries of my accessory.
-Therefore these are just a selection of macramé type images to introduce me to the technique, and to showcase what can be created from it...

HIGH-WAISTED KNICKERS !!!!
- After ALOT of worrying and stressing, i was able to construct my knickers in time for submission. They came out alot better than what i originally thought, and overall with the time limit to produce a garment as a final design, i have to say i am reasonably proud with them. I decided to use one of my more subtler 'tribal' themed patterns which fits in well with my original aim to create a more contemporary, modern and less traditional design.

' Industrial Restrictions'
I have developed a new collection from my previous CAD module which was based on, and titled 'Urban Landscapes'. In order to develop my theme further i looked at restrictions in terms of barriers, gates and chains and went out and about to photograph my surroundings. My aim for this module was to convert masculine imagery into wearable designs for females. The idea was to design a wearable collection inspired by non-traditional feminine designs and mix the colour palette up in order to soften the imagery.

TRIBAL INFLUENCE
I've recently started a new module of work for university, having been given free reign and the opportunity to create my own brief, i have ran with the tribal theme and aim to produce a concept for Women's Wear which incorporates tribal influenced prints. I want to capture the bold prints and block colours and patterns traditionally associated with tribal, but also break out and introduce a more contemporary look and introduce a more subtler colour palette.
My initial research started with me sourcing imagery from a favoured website of mine, www.weheartit.com! I think the images below are stunning and wanted to share them ....
I'll keep you posted on my development and final samples!
Desired Colour Palette...
- I've fallen in love with this colour palette, and the clothes themselves. How elegant???
(Again, i haven't be able to reference where i sourced my images from, i get to carried away and sometimes forget to note down where about's i find these beauties. SORRY !!!)
Unexpectedly, i'm loving the GOLD !!!

Style Inspiring Accessories ...
I can't exactly remember where i sourced these images from, but i stumbled upon them whilst researching for my Accessory Module. I adore the edgy, quirky and fierce style of these accessories. In terms of designing and my own personal choice, these are fabulous and are items which i aspire to design and would LOVE to wear !!!!
